Controllers:

A controller is a device which when introduced to feedback or forward path of the system controls steady state and transient response as per the requirement.A controller is a device which when introduced to feedback or forward path of the system controls steady state and transient response as per the requirement.

P controller:

Proportional control is a type of linear feedback controlsystem in which a correction is applied to the controlled variable which is proportional to the difference between the desired value.

Eg:

Shock absorber in bike is an example of control system. It acts as a spring.Shock absorber in bike is an example of control system. It acts as a spring.

You have studied about Mass & Spring in control system, let's use it as an example here:

Consider the bike example:

You(the person who is on the bike)-MassShock absorber - Spring

When you are riding on a bike, the shock absorber adjusts itself (compresses or expands) based on the condition of the road, so that you can ride comfortably for a long distance.

The spring will attempt to maintain the object in a certain location despite disturbances which may temporarily displace it.

For eg: when the bike runs over a speed breaker or pot hole, the shock absorber adjusts the position to it.
